Winning the war – Part 4
Text Ephesians 6:13
Evil, cruelty and depravity are some of the attributes prevalent in today’s society; these qualities are not only evident on the streets, in schools, in homes but sadly they now exist in the Church!
In recent times, the Church has been under great pressure to conform to socially acceptable standards of unrighteousness, where morality has collapsed and as a result those who stand for truth make themselves a prey (Isaiah 59: 15)
No wonder scriptures describe the days in which we live as perilous however the Apostle Paul commands believers in Ephesians 6: 13 “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand”
Paul was in prison at the time of writing; he observed the soldiers that patrolled the area every day and based on his perception the Apostle wrote to the Church at Ephesus concerning their stance as soldiers of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Note the phrase “Take unto you…” this implies that the Lord provides the believer with the right clothing which will enable him/her to withstand and survive the war, the responsibility however is on the individual to actively pick up and put on the armour provided.
Not putting on the whole armour of God means we are exposed to the enemy and inevitably we become his victims.
Although it is no longer a matter of what is right or wrong, but rather what one can get away with Paul insist that the Christian must always stand for the truth and earnestly fight for it.
Be encouraged, the presence of God is with the upright and He protects those who will not compromise but stand for truth.

In the book of Hebrews 11:1 we read these words “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”.
The word used for faith here means, a foundation, assurance, title-deeds, in reality when we talk about faith in God if we really have it, it becomes all the proof we need, verse 3 tells us, “Through faith we understand…” this suggest that without faith we cannot understand the things and ways of God.
Here at Faith Dimensions Ministries we encourage our members to believe and walk by faith in our never failing God.
We believe in the ability of the word of God to save, heal and deliver through the power of the Holy Spirit and because we love our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ we cannot cease to praise His name.
